Psycho II was my GUI Championships 2008 finalist entry. Its very unique design went over well with most people. Psycho II is a completely skinned windowblind for both XP and Vista. Until now it has only been available through the GUIC’s site. Today I offer it as a free exclusive download (outside of the championship site) from my own site. Check it out in the download section and enjoy.

Reviews and Comments
treetog - “my favorite wb entry in the competition so far, in fact I am a fan of your style, well done!”
northeast - “Outstanding, this is one of a kind. Great design.”
Jymmy - “I don’t change my skins that often; when I find one I like, I just use it until I get tired of it. But when I saw this one, I had to have it. I especially like the start button - most of them are just the same old tired windows thingy. I really like this skin a lot, and will use it for a long time.”
frogboy - “Psycho II is a pretty neat skin. Good technical execution and a plainly awesome Start button and Start menu.”

My mother (Rhonda A. Georgi) has passed on to a better place. Tonight (January 10th, 2009) at 6pm she went peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Looking back, a little while earlier she told us she was ready for bed. We believe this was her way of saying she was ready to go to sleep as she had not been expressing herself well. In her last few days she spent with her five grand kids, her daughter, her son-in-law and her son. She made peace with the lord and everybody she knew and had told everyone she loved them numerous times as well as us telling her.

She had asked us to have no regrets for anything and to not be sad. The regrets part is easy, we have none. The being sad is a little harder, we will try not be sad but there is still some hurting going on by all.

My mother was a great woman. Even though by most standards she was rather young (Born April 15th, 1949) she lived a full life and did and experienced many things most will never. She touched many peoples lives and I can’t think of anyone who had ill will towards her. God was a large part of her life even if she was not the best at living in his light at all times. She was the type of woman who made you feel at home, one you could tell anything to and many within a short time referred to her as mom. She will be sorely missed.

No arrangements have been made yet as to what will be done next. Her wishes were to be cremated and we will follow through with those as well as all her other wishes.

In closing I personally would like to say a few things… Hug the ones you love, you don’t know when the next time might be the last so make sure they know you care. Also, make amends with those you might have a problem with, life is too short to be filled with such things.

Thank you and may your days be long and filled with love.

Ok, so I am still very involved with whats going on with my family at the moment (read the previous posting - “A trying time for my family.”).

But, I am willing to also use this time to accept ideas on a new skin. So, if you have any ideas, thoughts, concepts etc etc that you would like to see in the form of a skin then by all means this is your opportunity to take advantage of a ‘Master’ skinner and see what comes of it. NOTHING is too little, too big, too lame, too complicated, too outrageous or too small and so forth. I would like to see everyone’s thoughts.

That means if your reading this then make a comment. After all its your chance to see/get that skin you think you might want. — Don’t pass this up.. comment please!

As some of you know and more do not. I take care of my ailing mother. She has been a diabetic all her life and in recent years it has taken to basically destroying her body little by little. Through Diabetic Retinopathy it has made her legally blind, it has effected her mobility and continues to wreck havoc in various ways. I am her constant care giver, the alternative would be to put her in a home but I just never could see doing that. It is also one reason I moved a lot of the work I do in graphic design to online and GUI skinning.

Last night I admitted her to the hospital for the second time in the last few months for Anemia again. Right now they are giving her blood and running some test. As things stand they believe she has some internal bleeding in her GI and possibly a tumor somewhere in her abdomen. Nothing is for sure until all the test results are in. The likelihood of some sort of surgery is looming large at the moment. I will update this post as more is found out. In the mean time I ask that your prayers be with my family and also your patience in any releases and so forth that are coming soon. Thank you.

* Update *
The doctors, after some test, determined she has low kidney function and her blood pressure is still low. They ran some more test this morning which we have not heard the results of yet. Tonight they have her on a clear liquid diet and are starting her on a colon cleanse in preparation for a Colonoscopy. She is worried and concerned but so far doing ok and letting what needs to be done to find out whats wrong (unlike last time). She has been getting a lot of rest which is good. After tomorrows procedure we should know more. Again, thank you.

OK, so it has been nearly a month since I started the new site. Thing have gone over well and everyone seems to like the design and layout. Thank you all for the kind words, encouragement and support.

It has been asked if I will enter the GUI Championships this time around. If you recall I did enter in 2006 and actually took home the third place prize for Most Original Visual Style with the WindowBlind LORE. The answer to this question is I have plans to. However, given time restraints and so forth I am still unsure if I will complete the skin on time for it. If I do not you can still expect a premium quality skin to be coming soon that will be offered up for free. Trust me when I say I think your going to like it ;)

As a side note, another Master skin is also in the works which should be available soon after the free skin is finished.

Lastly, our long drawn out Presidential race is over and I would like to extend my own personal congratulations to Barrack Obama. Wither you support the guy or not is of no main concern at this point. Our country is in a the depths of many different issues that need attention and we should support him.

Have a great day everyone and keep a look out for the new skins :)
